Every January, millions of us pledge to read more β and by March, the pile on the nightstand is gathering dust. The problem usually isn’t willpower. It’s strategy.
Start absurdly small
Commit to two pages a day. Not a chapter, not thirty minutes β two pages. It’s small enough that you’ll never have an excuse, and most nights you’ll read far more.
Anchor it to something you already do
Read with your morning coffee, or for five minutes before sleep. Attaching a new habit to an existing one is the closest thing to a cheat code.
Make it visible and easy
Keep your current book where you’ll see it. Carry a lightweight paperback or load an eBook on your phone. Friction is the enemy of habit.
Be kind to yourself, keep it small, and let the pages add up.
